After my school education, which was taught in English, I was looking for an English degree programme that focused on international business and offered me the opportunity to learn Chinese. I found all of this at IMC Krems. That's why it was easy for me to move from Carinthia to Krems for my studies, even though the journey by train was like travelling around the world.
Tasks are there to grow
I had a funny encounter right at the beginning of my studies at IMC Krems. On the day of my entrance exam for the bachelor degree programme in Export-oriented Management, I met a fellow student and now long-time and very good friend during the preparation time - including some initial language difficulties!
I also remember my first big exam at IMC Krems very well. While I was studying and during the exam, I thought longingly about studying for the A-level exams. That's how I learnt that you grow with your tasks.
Valuable community at IMC Krems
The community at IMC Krems is also unique. There I learnt a lot about team spirit, group dynamics and cooperation and how valuable it is to leave your comfort zone. Apart from all this, my most important learning was to realize that I am passionate about Human Resources and that this is the career path I want to take. For me, IMC Krems is therefore a space for action, companion and guide!
Working along the HR lifecycle
I have been Head of HR at IG Immobilien since the beginning of the year. This is a seamless continuation of my last role, where I was also Head of HR at a renowned property developer. Together with my team, I take on all tasks along the HR lifecycle, from employees joining the company to leaving and everything in between.
Topics such as employer branding, recruiting, HR management, employee experience, sustainability, digitalisation of core HR processes and a transparent feedback culture are key elements of my area of responsibility. It is important to me to be able to take on a very strategic, advisory and creative role in addition to the operational function in order to make IG Immobilien an even more attractive employer.
