The Open House offered a unique opportunity to explore the premises and laboratories and talk to students and programme directors in person.
The highlights:
- Personal discussions: The direct exchange with students and programme directors gave interested parties an insight into the degree programme.
- Presentations by the programme directors helped with the choice of degree programme
- Interested parties were able to explore the campus and the IMC buildings on guided tours
- Experience practical exercises and visits to the state-of-the-art laboratories in the newly constructed U and D wings of the building
- The IMC Student Counselling Service provided valuable tips for the application process
- Culinary delights: The food truck and coffee bike catered for the physical well-being of the students.
- Top handball players from Förthof UHK Krems were guests: they offered open house guests the unique opportunity to measure their own throwing speed.
- Numerous competitions and a wheel of fortune provided variety and all guests received a guest gift on site.
- Alumni breakfast: Some very successful graduates supported the Open House with presentations and advice. The university management thanked them personally at the alumni breakfast.
Presentation of new degree programmes
A total of four new degree programmes will start in autumn 2024, all of which were already represented at the Open House. New to the programme are the bachelor degree programmes StartUp Management* and Global Sustainability and Circular Business* and the master degree programmes Biotechnology and OMICS Data Science* and Sustainable Chemistry and Digital Processing*.
