Study confirms top reputation for IMC Krems

In the study programme “Marketing Research” at IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems, a study queried the significance and role of IMC FH Krems in the region in the winter semester 2021/2022. The study was commissioned as part of the strategy process at IMC Krems and delivered remarkable, positive results.
 

In the study programme “Marketing Research” at IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems, a study queried the significance and role of IMC FH Krems in the region in the winter semester 2021/2022. The study was commissioned as part of the strategy process at IMC Krems and delivered remarkable, positive results.

As part of the study, almost 500 residents of the region were asked by students what significance IMC Krems has for society in the region, what expectations are placed on it and to what extent IMC Krems meets these expectations. The region was defined as the districts of Krems, Krems Land and the districts bordering on Krems Land. Current and former students and employees of IMC Krems were excluded from the survey. Almost 90% of the respondents stated that they knew IMC Krems – a prerequisite for the survey, as performance was also assessed.

The results in summary:

IMC FH Krems is very well known and enjoys a high reputation.

Word of mouth (55%) is considered the most important source of information, followed by information about IMC Krems students (45%). Especially social media channels are considered preferred information channels. While the offerings of the University of Applied Sciences enjoy a particularly high reputation, the overall standing of IMC Krems is also very good. The institution is assessed as digital, international, innovative, accessible and sustainable.

IMC Krems is considered to be of great importance to society in the region. 

For the vast majority of respondents, IMC Krems enjoys a high level of importance – especially as an educational facility for young people, but also as an institution of further education. It fulfils its educational function well but is also a significant employer in the region and improves the profile and image of the entire region. Additional opportunities for training and further education would be welcome in the future.

Events are perceived as a good opportunity to learn more about IMC Krems. 

Open House, vaccination on a bus at the campus and Lange Nacht der Forschung (Long Night of Research) were mentioned as examples of suitable and popular events, but FIT4YOUUniversity, Junge Uni and SeniorInnenUni are also well received. The Open House is particularly popular and often attended. Events are seen as a good opportunity to learn more about IMC Krems. All age groups from 15 to 65+ show interest.

The study confirms the path we have taken and provides ideas in which areas we can be even more active. For this reason, we are not only pleased with the positive result of the survey, but also view it as a mandate to keep on going,” says Ulrike Prommer, Managing Director of IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems.
