With the Sustainability Café, IMC Krems now also has a podcast on the topic of sustainability. The podcast is produced by the IMC Krems Media Lab.

With the Sustainability Café, IMC Krems now also has a podcast on the topic of sustainability. Roman Mesicek and Victoria Englmaier regularly interview various people related to the university.

On the one hand, they talk about the guests' personal points of contact with sustainability, but of course also about the extent to which sustainability is relevant in their respective areas of responsibility at IMC Krems.

The first seven episodes

The first seven episodes were recorded during the IMC Welcome Fair in fall 2022. The following people were interviewed: CEO Udo Brändle, Academic Director Martin Waiguny, Sustainability Coordinator Roman Mesicek, Victoria Englmaier, who is responsible for Gender & Diversity, and the study program directors Claudia Bauer-Krösbacher, Sarah Schäfer and Christopher Schwand.

Sustainability at IMC Krems

The topic of sustainability has been a focus at IMC Krems for more than ten years. Since the 2016 strategy, the university has drawn on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for its social and environmental responsibility. The SDGs are also clearly anchored in the current university strategy and are described as a guiding social concept. In addition, the goal of a climate-neutral university is formulated in it.

IMC Krems is committed to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and is a member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). In addition, IMC Krems participates in sustainability ratings and rankings, such as the Positive Impact Rating and the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking, in order to continuously develop.
Due to the crises of the past years, a lot has happened at IMC Krems in the context of sustainability, both in teaching, in research, and in the area of university services. All these developments will be discussed in the podcast. The recordings of the next podcast episodes are already planned.

Where can the podcast be found?

The Sustainability Café will appear every week on Tuesdays on Podigee, Apple Music and Spotify. Please send comments and feedback to sustainability(at)fh-krems.ac.at.
