800 prospective students at the IMC Open House

Servus at IMC Campus Krems!

On 22 February 2020 our big IMC Open House took place. More than 800 prospective students had the opportunity to get to know IMC Krems personally and to inform themselves about the wide range of programmes offered.

Unsere Studierenden verbreiteten bei unserem Open House unseren besonderen IMC Spirit.

Our students spread our special IMC spirit at our Open House.

At IMC Campus Krems our bachelor and master degree programmes were in the focus of attention: Prospective students had the opportunity to ask their questions directly to our students and to get first-hand information.

They also had the opportunity to find out about all the details of their dream study programme in the lectures given by our programme directors. Alumni of our university were also present in numerous lectures, reporting on their experiences during their studies and on the job market.

Discover buildings and premises

IMC Krems CEO Karl Ennsfellner did not miss the opportunity to personally guide the visitors through the house. He proudly presented amongst others the eVRyLab and the Media Lab. In addition, there was the opportunity to get to know the campus and the IMC Piaristengasse location during a guided tour.

This way, prospective students were able to get an overview of where they will be spending their time during their studies and what their university location has to offer. The visitors agreed: At the Open House you immediately got a sense of the community spirit within IMC Krems.

Hands-on: eVRyLab, practical exercises & lab exercises

The visitors had the opportunity to visit our innovative eVRyLab again this year within the scope of the Open House. Unique in Austria is the OmniDeck which is located inside the lab. It is a kind of round walking belt with a diameter of 4 meters, which in combination with the new wireless VR glasses allows almost unlimited freedom of movement in various virtual worlds.

Our experts also provided some very practical input: This year the focus was on the question of how VR technologies will influence our working worlds in the future.

Interested parties also had the opportunity to test their skills in the practical exercises of our degree programmes in the field of health sciences and to visit our laboratories.
