Within the framework of the new education programme, five interesting extracurricular courses are offered to 14 to 19-year-old teenagers. The IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems covers the field of biotechnology.
On Saturday, September 21, 2019, the Science Academy started successfully with 26 pupils.
Experience the world of biotechnology
Over the next two years, the participants will be introduced to the world of biotechnology with exciting experiments.
On the first day of the workshop, the young pupils were able to observe microorganisms under the microscope, isolate their own DNA and investigate the effect of the enzyme amylase.
The concept behind the Science Academy
In the first semester, the pupils get an insight into all five offered topics. The participants will start their selected course in the second semester.
One-day workshops take place on five Saturdays per semester. There are also e-learning sessions at home. In the summer of 2021, the teenagers will complete the course.
