You are a leader
You will be responsible for the master programme "Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology" and organising the study operations. You will be lecturing in your scientific discipline and contribute to the Department of Science and Technology's research areas with applied research projects. You will inspire students when supervising their academic papers and nurture our network by fostering relationships with regional and international partners. You also have all what it takes to motivate people exploring current biotechnological topics and their links.
You have a distinctly international outlook
- University degree (PhD or equivalent) in Biotechnology
- University teaching with focus on medical or pharmaceutical biotechnology (ideally also experience in study management)
- Professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry (R&D) and/or in the university sector
- Active member of the scientific community, reflected in acquisitioning and conducting of research projects, publications and conference attendence
- International network of academic and industry partners
- Excellent German and English (C1 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

IMC Krems is not member to any collective agreement. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 68.000,- on the basis of full-time employment (40 hours per week). Depending on professional qualifications and experience, we are willing to overpay. The award of a professorship is not tied to the conclusion of an employment contract but to a peer review process and requires appropriate evidence of the candidate's record in teaching, research and practice.
