Das Studium
Den Hauptfokus legen Sie mit Ihrem Studium auf zentrale Bereiche aus der Betriebswirtschaft und der Volkswirtschaft. Im modular aufgebauten Studium lernen Sie, fachlich fundiert mit den unternehmens- und abteilungsinternen Strukturen und Abläufen umzugehen. Dadurch können Sie später in Ihrem Berufsleben in unterschiedlichen Organisationen vielfältige Aufgabenbereiche ausführen und managen.
Unternehmenskommunikation trifft auf Projektmanagement und digitale Skills
Im zweiten und dritten Studienjahr komplettieren Sie das Managementwissen mit vertieften Kenntnissen in den Modulen International Project Management, Corporate Communication und Digital Transformation. Sie müssen sich nicht entscheiden: Das Studium bietet Ihnen das Beste aus drei Welten.

Betriebswirtschaft leicht erklärt
Die Betriebswirtschaftslehre verfolgt das Ziel, die Aufgabenbereiche, Herangehensweisen und Zielsetzungen der einzelnen Unternehmensbereiche zu planen, durchzuführen und im Nachhinein zu kontrollieren.
Dabei gibt es wichtige Funktionsbereiche: Finanzmanagement, Rechnungswesen und Controlling, Strategisches Management, Marketing, Personalmanagement und Logistik.
Schwerpunkte: Business Administration
Im Bachelor-Studium Business Administration vermitteln wir Ihnen eine breite betriebswirtschaftliche Basis. Diese wird abgerundet durch Kenntnisse in wesentlichen Bereichen des Wirtschaftsrechts auf europäischer und internationaler Ebene. Aber das ist noch nicht alles: Zusätzlich zu den betriebswirtschaftlichen und rechtlichen Grundlagen erwerben Sie fundierte Kompetenzen in der Unternehmenskommunikation, im Projektmanagement und in Digital Transformation.
Unternehmenskommunikation alias Corporate Communications (18 ECTS)
Die Unternehmenskommunikation – auch Corporate Communications genannt – beschreibt die Kommunikation eines Unternehmens nach außen und nach innen.
Sie verfolgt also das Ziel, die Wahrnehmung der verschiedenen Zielgruppen in Bezug auf ein Unternehmen zu prägen. Kurz: Eine zielgruppenorientierte und glaubwürdige Kommunikationsstrategie trägt ganz wesentlich zum Unternehmenserfolg bei.
Man kann die Unternehmenskommunikation grob in 2 Teilbereiche einteilen: die interne und die externe Kommunikation. Auch in diesen Teilbereichen gibt es wiederum Unterscheidungen. Aufgabenbereiche reichen von Public Relations über Online-Kunden-Kommunikation und internes Markenmanagement bis Investor Relations.
Projektmanagement alias International Project Management (18 ECTS)
Ein Projekt ist eine zeitlich befristete, innovative – das heißt nicht alltägliche oder wiederkehrende – und teils auch risikobehaftete Aufgabenstellung. Aufgrund ihrer Komplexität erfordert sie Projektmanagement.
Daher ist auch klar: Ein Projekt auf internationalem Niveau ist im Normalfall noch vielschichtiger. Gut geplantes und durchgeführtes Projektmanagement wird also zum Schlüssel für den Erfolg. Als Projektmanagerin oder Projektmanager werden Sie vor allem für die Abstimmung, Koordination und Führung aller Vorgänge während des Projektverlaufs verantwortlich sein.
Besonders wichtig ist dabei eine strukturierte Vorgehensweise. In unserem Studiengang lernen Sie agile Projektmanagementansätze kennen. Agiles Management zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass man im Team schnell, flexibel und proaktiv auf Veränderungen reagieren kann.
Digitale Transformation (7 ECTS)
Digitale Transformation beschreibt einen fortlaufenden Veränderungsprozess, der durch digitale Technologien begünstigt und vorangetrieben wird. Für Unternehmen ist es erfolgsentscheidend, sich auf diese Veränderungen proaktiv einzustellen.
Digitalisierung bietet für Unternehmen zahlreiche Chancen, aber auch Herausforderungen. Arbeitnehmer von morgen müssen daher ein fundiertes Verständnis der digitalen Wirtschaft und digitaler Trends aufweisen, um zukünftig zum Unternehmenserfolg beitragen zu können. Dabei ist es von zentraler Bedeutung, bestehende Modelle und Normen zu hinterfragen und in Hinblick auf aufkommende digitale Möglichkeiten neue Wege einzuschlagen.

1. Die Grundlagen
In den Semestern 1-3
Im Studium beschäftigen Sie sich mit Betriebswirtschaft, Volkswirtschaft und den Kernbereichen des Managements wie zum Beispiel Marketing, Finanzierung & Controlling und Personalmanagement.
Darüber hinaus setzen Sie sich ausführlich mit Unternehmenskommunikation und Projektmanagement auseinander. So schaffen Sie eine optimale Grundlage für die Schwerpunkte im 4. und 6. Semester. Die internationale Ausrichtung des Studiums hilft Ihnen außerdem dabei, Ihre interkulturellen und soziodynamischen Fähigkeiten zu stärken.

2. Das Praxis-Semester
Im Semester 5
Im 5. Semester wenden Sie das erlernte Wissen im Praktikumssemester – das bei uns auch PTS (Practical Training Semester) genannt wird – an. Insgesamt sind Sie mindestens 22 Wochen in Ihrer Praktikumseinrichtung tätig.
Das Praktikum findet verpflichtend im Ausland statt. Vor, während und nach dem Pflichtpraktikum bekommen Sie von unserer Career Services Stelle einen Praktikumscoach zur Seite gestellt. Egal ob Tipps für die Praktikumssuche, Hilfestellung beim Ansuchen um Fördermöglichkeiten wie zum Beispiel Erasmus oder vertragliche Angelegenheiten – Sie werden die persönliche Betreuung zu schätzen wissen.
Während des Praktikums „schnuppern“ Sie in einen Unternehmensbereich, der Sie besonders interessiert und sammeln dort wertvolle Berufserfahrung. Dadurch wissen Sie am Ende des Studiums, wohin die Reise gehen soll – und haben dank der praktischen Erfahrungen Vorteile im Berufseinstieg.

3. Die Spezialisierung
In den Semestern 4 & 6
Im 4. und 6. Semester vertiefen Sie Ihr fachliches Wissen in den Bereichen Corporate Communications, International Project Management (jeweils 18 ECTS) und Digital Transformation (7 ECTS). Sie erwerben die Kompetenzen, um später im Berufsalltag Teams und Projekte selbstständig führen zu können. Auch in der Unternehmenskommunikation und in Hinblick auf digitale Unternehmensmodelle werden Sie mit neuen Ideen und Herangehensweisen positiv auffallen – und all das definitiv auf internationalem Niveau.
Im Schwerpunkt Corporate Communications eignen Sie sich verschiedene Kommunikationstools an und lernen, die Qualität von Kommunikationsbotschaften zu bewerten und zielgruppengerechte Texte zu verfassen.
Im Schwerpunkt International Project Management beschäftigen Sie sich mit den Erfolgsmerkmalen von erfolgreichen internationalen Projekten. Ein zentraler Bestandteil: Projekt-Finanzierung und Monitoring.
Im Schwerpunkt Digital Transformation hinterfragen Sie bestehende Unternehmensmodelle und suchen nach neuen digitalen Lösungen für Unternehmen.

Im Laufe des Studiums entwickeln Sie in allen drei Bereichen fundierte Kompetenzen – so können Sie später am Arbeitsmarkt mit einem attraktiven Gesamtpaket punkten.
Sammeln Sie Erfahrungen aus aller Welt
Die Bereitschaft zur Mobilität und Offenheit in Bezug auf kulturelle Vielfalt zählen zu den wichtigsten Eigenschaften in der heutigen Arbeitswelt. Unsere Fachhochschule teilt diese Werte: Sie studieren mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus aller Welt und schulen so von Anfang an Ihre interkulturellen Fähigkeiten.
Im 3. Semester haben Sie außerdem die Möglichkeit, an einer unserer mehr als 140 Partner-Universitäten zu studieren – eine Erfahrung, die Sie nicht so schnell vergessen werden. Das Praktikumssemester ist ein weiteres Kernelement unserer Bachelor-Studiengänge: 22 Wochen verbringen Sie in einer Organisation im Ausland und sammeln dort erste Berufserfahrungen.

Ein weiteres optionales Highlight, an dem bereits zahlreiche Business Administration Studierende teilgenommen haben: das IMC Founders Lab. Hier bekommen die Studierenden die Möglichkeit, eigene Geschäftsideen zu entwickeln und den ersten Schritt in Richtung Selbstständigkeit zu setzen.

Das Bachelor-Studium Business Administration öffnet zahlreiche Türen: Sie sind fit für Aufgaben im Schnittstellenbereich zwischen Management, Projektmanagement, Unternehmenskommunikation und digitaler Transformation. Durch die breite betriebswirtschaftliche Ausbildung sind Sie außerdem für Aufgaben zum Beispiel im Marketing oder Personalwesen qualifiziert.

Welche Zugangsvoraussetzungen gelten für unsere Bachelor-Studiengänge?
Ein Bachelor-Studium setzt voraus, dass Sie über eine allgemeine Hochschulreife – also über die Matura oder eine gleichwertige Qualifikation – verfügen. Falls Sie diese Voraussetzung nicht erfüllen, können Sie sich im Bereich Studieren ohne Matura darüber informieren, wie Sie sich trotzdem für einen unserer Bachelor-Studiengänge qualifizieren können.
Sie verfügen über ein ausländisches Zeugnis der allgemeinen Hochschulreife?
Wir prüfen die Gleichwertigkeit mit der allgemeinen Hochschulreife gemäß § 4 FHG (Fachhochschulgesetz) idgF, sobald die Online-Bewerbung vollständig abgeschlossen ist. Falls die Gleichwertigkeit nicht gegeben ist, erhalten Sie von uns alle Informationen über die nötigen Ergänzungsprüfungen.
Welchen Sprachnachweis benötigen Sie für unseren englischsprachigen Bachelor-Studiengang?
Wir werden Ihre Englischkenntnisse im Rahmen des Aufnahmegesprächs überprüfen. Gesonderte Zertifikate sind also nicht nötig.

Steht Ihnen der Präsenz- beziehungsweise Zivildienst noch bevor? Als männlicher Bewerber mit österreichischer Staatsbürgerschaft empfehlen wir Ihnen dringend, die Wehrpflicht noch vor dem Studium abzuleisten. So können Sie Ihr Studium ohne Unterbrechung durchführen und direkt nach dem Studium in das Berufsleben einsteigen.
Aufnahmegespräch
Wir möchten Sie gerne persönlich kennen lernen:
Im Rahmen der Online-Bewerbung ist ein Motivationsschreiben und ein kurzes Essay zu einem studiengangsrelevanten Thema zu verfassen. Vorgegebene Fragen zu Ihren Beweggründen, sowie die Anforderungen und Themenstellungen für Ihr Essay finden Sie in der Online-Bewerbung. Sie wählen eines der vorgeschlagenen Themen aus, führen eine Recherche durch um Ihren Wissenstand zu erweitern, setzen sich mit den Fragestellungen auseinander und bringen im Essay Ihren eigenen Standpunkt ein. Ihre Antworten sind in eigens dafür vorgesehene Eingabefelder einzutragen.
Für Ihr Aufnahmegespräch werden Ihr Motivationsschreiben und Ihr Essay als Grundlage herangezogen. Jede Bewerberin und jeder Bewerber erhält die Möglichkeit, sich in einem Einzelgespräch, das in der Regel mit dem Studiengangsleiter bzw. der Studiengangsleiterin geführt wird, vorzustellen. Neben dem persönlichen Kennenlernen werden Ihre Beweggründe für das Studium besprochen, das ausgewählte Thema und die Argumentation im Essay diskutiert, sowie die Relevanz dieses Themas für den Studiengang erörtert.
Das Aufnahmegespräch wird in der Unterrichtssprache des Studiengangs geführt und findet entweder online über Microsoft Teams oder Vorort statt.
Nach dem Aufnahmegespräch werden das Motivationsschreiben, der Essay und das Gespräch nach den inhaltlichen Aussagen, der Ausdruckskraft und der Argumentation bewertet.
Welche Aufnahmetermine gibt es?
Sie haben in der Regel die Wahl zwischen mehreren Aufnahmetagen, die mit Kontingenten hinterlegt sind. Im Zuge der Online-Bewerbung können Sie Ihren bevorzugten Termin auswählen. Um noch von der vollen Auswahl an Terminen profitieren zu können, empfehlen wir Ihnen, Ihre Bewerbung rechtzeitig durchzuführen.
