Throughout their visit they were accompanied by a camera crew from Austrian state broadcaster ORF’s Lower Austrian studios.
The visit kicked off with a gala dinner for graduates of the master programme held in conjunction with Thuongmai University in Hanoi between 2010 and 2016. 70 people attended what was the first alumni event to be held in Vietnam. The guest of honour was Austria’s ambassador to Vietnam, Thomas Schuller-Götzburg.
During a visit to the Vietnamese Ministry of Science, the delegation gave a presentation on the programmes currently under way and outlined their plans for the expansion of IMC Krems’ activities in Vietnam. The visitors from Krems also took the opportunity to meet the new rector of Hanoi University.
Further options for cooperation were discussed with Dr. Vu Viet Anh, the former Vietnamese ambassador in Vienna, during a visit to the country's Foreign Ministry.
Also on the agenda was a visit to Hue University, where the first transnational programme in Vietnam was launched in 2007. The visiting delegation signed a memorandum of understanding at the university.
Final examinations and graduation ceremony
The final examinations for the first intake of students on the Business Administration and E-Business Management bachelor programme held in partnership with Saigon University also took place during the visit. Held the very next day, the graduation ceremony for the students who had completed their degrees was the highlight of the trip.
