Graduation ceremonies with unforgettable moments

The first week of July was dedicated to the summer graduations at IMC Krems. A highlight of the year for alumni and guests alike.

The graduates of the Unternehmensführung bachelor degree programme had a wonderful time at their graduation ceremony and celebrated their achievement together with Prof.(FH) Mag. In a festive ceremony in the event hall at the IMC Campus Krems, the graduations of the bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes as well as the continuing education courses at IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems were celebrated for a whole week at the beginning of July. For all those who were unable to attend the celebrations in person, there was, as always, the possibility to be there via livestream. 
More than 500 alumni from twelve bachelor’s programmes, ten master’s programmes and two continuing education courses celebrated their successful graduations together with family and friends, as well as the faculty and staff of IMC Krems. Numerous representatives from research, politics and business were also present. The guests were visibly thrilled to see the graduates so happy and to be able to celebrate live.

The alumni now become part of the worldwide IMC Alumni Community – they support the network to the best of their ability and take the values of their alma mater with them into the world: pioneering, open-minded, appreciative. The atmosphere at the graduation ceremonies reflected the characteristic strengths of IMC Krems: tangible joy in teaching and research, a high level of commitment, internationality and diversity, a great thirst for knowledge and a commitment to lifelong learning, as well as strong cohesion and close ties between all stakeholders involved.

At the festive graduation ceremony, the alumni were introduced, took their vows and received an academic degree, in the presence of CEO Mag. Ulrike Prommer and CEO Prof.(FH) Dr. Karl Ennsfellner. “Our IMC spirit is always palpable at the ceremonies, as the alumni form a large community of young people with excellent opportunities for the job market,” said the Academic Head of IMC Krems, Prof.(FH) Mag. Dr. Martin Waiguny.
As part of the graduation of the master’s degree programme in Advanced Nursing Practice, the “Teaching Hospital” award was presented to the Krankenhaus Göttlicher Heiland in Vienna by the programme director, Prof. (FH) Mag. Adelheid Schönthaler, to the director of nursing, Wolfgang Sissolak, BSc, and his deputy, Cornelia Pfeiffer, MSc.

Graduation in Baku, Azerbaijan

The Alumni Chapter Baku of IMC Krems and Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University also welcomes 16 new alumni to its network. After the bachelor exams, chaired by Prof.(FH) Jens Ennen, MSc, the graduation ceremony took place in a festive setting. IMC CEO Prof.(FH) Dr. Karl Ennsfellner and Advisory Board Chairman Dr. h.c. Heinz Boyer emphasised the importance of the Azerbaijan-Austria Tourism Programme (AATP) for capacity building and the professionalisation of Azerbaijan’s growing tourism industry. The AATP is the oldest of all international study programmes in Azerbaijan. Since its first graduation in 2010, it has produced nearly 300 alumni in Baku. Prof. Ennsfellner is pleased about the cooperation: “Congratulations to all the new graduates! We are very proud of the forward-looking partnership with Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University.”
