Corona emergency fund for students

The management of IMC Krems is happy to announce the establishment of a COVID-19 fund for students in cooperation with the students' representatives. This fund is meant to offer students financial support in case of loss of income due to the current corona crisis. The ÖH IMC Krems is currently working out criteria for the allocation of the fund.

The management team of IMC Krems provides funds for a Covid-19 Social Fund for Students.

In principle, anyone who is currently enrolled at IMC Krems can apply for financial support. The COVID-19 Social Fund is a one-time emergency fund, which exists independently from the governmental aid funds.

Financial support for tuition fees, laptop, literature & more

In addition to the psychological strain, the corona crisis unfortunately often causes existential fears. Our university of applied sciences is, therefore, committed to making a contribution in the current situation and to supporting students who find themselves in a particularly challenging situation.

Help is provided quickly and unbureaucratically: Financial support from the COVID-19 Social Fund can be requested by all students via the ÖH IMC FH Krems and is not tied to a specific purpose. The special fund is mainly aimed at students who have a loss of income due to Corona - no matter if it is professional or family related.

COVID-19 Social Fund for students

In total, IMC Krems has provided more than 10,000 EUR for social support of students in order to cope with the current crisis situation.

ÖH IMC Krems has been won as a cooperation partner for the initiative. The criteria for the allocation are currently being developed by the student union. The ÖH will also take over the handling of the initiative. Detailed information will soon be published on the eDesktop in the ÖH section.

Free psychological help by phone

In addition to possible existential fears, the psychological strain we are exposed to day after day should not be underestimated in the current crisis situation. Fears, worries, isolation - the current coronavirus pandemic and the associated quarantine and domestic isolation pose completely new challenges for people in Austria.

We, therefore, advise our students, teachers and staff to seek psychological help without hesitation if necessary. All compactly summarised information on the topic can also be found on the e-desktop.
