The IMC International Relations Team welcomed partner universities and transnational partner institutions at the IMC International Staff Week on the topic "The New Global Campus – Hype and Hopes".

The programme of the Staff Week is diverse and offers a mix of workshops, lectures and interactive exchange about current experiences and challenges in higher education. Susanna Valentin, EU Programme Officer of the OeAD (Austria's Agency for Education and Internationalisation), will present on the topic "Erasmus 2021-27 – New Challenges and Opportunities". Of course, an introduction to Austrian Culture is not to be missed, as well as an excursion to the world heritage region Wachau Valley and an evening at a Heuriger.

Challenges and New world of studies

In addition to other exciting lectures, the Staff Week programme has two special topics. The challenges that the International Relations Offices have had to deal with in the past two years will be highlighted: A former lecturer from the KROK University Kiev will report on the Ukraine conflict as a refugee, and on the topic of COVID 19, experiences of all participants as well as of the IMC Career Center will be exchanged.
The second main topic concerns the "New world of work – new world of studies". The demands of Generation Z with regard to studies and work will be discussed. Prof.(FH) Michael Bartz, the Academic Head of IMC Krems Prof.(FH) Martin Waiguny and part-time lecturer Petra Heidler will give their input. In addition, Gesundheits- und Krankenpflege-student (General Nursing) Anna Promegger explains her view of things and describes how she sees the future of working.

Training Week for Transnational Partner Institutions

As part of the International Staff Week, the Training Week for transnational partner institutions also takes place with its own programme. Workshops on topics such as "Marketing for Higher Education Institutions", "Admission Procedure" or "Quality Management" are offered here. Nevertheless, all participants of the entire Staff Week come together during the social programme, which creates networking opportunities.
