Our university is celebrating graduation
A total of 75 new graduates of the health science bachelor degree programmes in Gesundheits- und Krankenpflege and Hebammen received the academic degree "Bachelor of Science in Health Studies". They will have a smooth career start ahead of them - and some graduates can even choose from two or three job offers.
The happy new graduates of the IMC bachelor and master degree programmes Physiotherapie, Musiktherapie, Advanced Nursing Practice, Ergotherapie, Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Betriebswirtschaft für das Gesundheitswesen, Business Administration, International Wine Business, Export-oriented Management, Unternehmensführung und E-Business Management, Tourismus and Leisure Management, Management von Gesundheitsunternehmen, International Business and Export Management, Marketing and Sales, Management, Unternehmensführung für KMU, Umwelt- und Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement and Digital Business Innovation and Transformation now join the large, worldwide IMC Alumni Community.
Herz-Kreislauf-Zentrum Groß Gerungs named a teaching hospital
Another highlight of the graduation celebrations at IMC Krems was the naming of Herz-Kreislauf-Zentrum Groß Gerungs in the Waldviertel as a teaching hospital of the Department of Health Sciences. Fritz Weber, MSc, Managing Director and Jürgen Friedl, MSc, Head of Nursing Services were presented with the certificate. The award ceremony was held jointly by Prof. Dr. Martin Waiguny, chair of the academic board, Dr. Bettina Maderner, head of the institute Pflege- und Hebammenwissenschaften, Markus Golla, programme director of the Gesundheits- and Krankenpflege bachelor degree programme, and CEO Ulrike Prommer. The existing close co-operation between the cardiovascular center and IMC Krems enables practice-oriented training as well as an intensive know-how transfer.
Students of Peek and Cloppenburg graduated for the first time
IMC Krems, in close cooperation with Peek and Cloppenburg, offered the dual bachelor degree programme "Unternehmensführung und E-Business Management" with a focus on international business & retail management. "The students were able to gain extensive practical experience in fashion retailing as employees of the well-known fashion house while studying at the same time in blocked modules according to our curriculum," says the head of the course, Dr. Franz Piller.
A total of more than 10,000 degrees awarded
With the festive graduation of the more than 300 young academics, the number of degrees awarded by IMC Krems has risen to more than 10,000 by October 2019. The IMC Alumni Network offers its national and international graduates numerous opportunities to stay connected with the Alma Mater. Opportunities for networking are offered, among other things, at various reunions & specialist events and on various social media platforms.
