The registration fee depends on the applicant´s citizenship and is payable as part of the online application. Your application can only be started once the payment transaction of the registration fee has been completed successfully. The registration fee will be credited against the tuition fee.

When assessing your application, we will verify your citizenship and determine the tuition fee payable based on the provided proofs and on the conditions listed above. Therefore, any additional documents which prove that you belong to one of the groups defined in section §1 of Personengruppenverordnung must either be uploaded with your online application or provided on request. 

Austrian Students’ Union (ÖH) dues 

The statutory Austrian Students’ Union (ÖH) dues is currently determined with EUR 19,20 and has to be paid per semester. The Union dues entitle you to liability insurance coverage. For further information on the Austrian Students’ Union, visit www.oeh.ac.at

Costs for books and handouts

Books and handouts will cost between EUR 200 and EUR 500 in your first year, falling to around EUR 100 in each of the following years (book costs will vary depending on whether you purchase both the required and the recommended literature).

Other costs

  • Accommodation
    You can rent a room in a shared flat from approx. EUR 200 per month, and a one-bedroom rental flat costs between EUR 250 and EUR 500. In addition, IMC Krems students can choose from three students dormitories and a wide range of private housing options.   • Living costs
    These vary depending on individual needs, but usually come to about EUR 400 per month.

  • Health Insurance
    The Lower Austrian Health Insurance Fund (NOEGKK) offers health insurance to all students living in Lower Austria who do not have statutory Austrian health insurance coverage or coverage from another EU state. For further information, go to www.noegkk.at (German only).
