IMC Apply Online and Onboarding Platform

How do I apply for degree programmes and continuing education courses at IMC Krems? It’s quite simple: By using the IMC Apply Online and Onboarding Platform!

You’ve found the programme of your choice? Then take the first step and start your online application.

Online application made easy

The IMC Apply Online and Onboarding Platform will accompany your entire application process. Even during your admission procedure, you will be informed about the status of your application via this platform.

    1. Your registration

    First, you register on the IMC Onboarding Platform, set up your login data and confirm your user account. Then you can start your online application.

    If you’re from a non-EU country and wish to apply for a bachelor or master degree programme, you will need to pay a registration fee of EUR 200 at this point. But don’t worry: if you’re accepted, we’ll deduct this amount from your first tuition fee.

    2. Your application

    Enter the required data and upload the necessary documents. Your entries will be saved automatically. This means that you can interrupt your application at any time and continue at a later stage using your access data.

    Important: Please keep in mind the start and end of the application deadlines for our degree programmes and continuing education courses. Please submit your completed online application until the stipulated application deadline.

    3. Your IMC Onboarding Platform

    The IMC Onboarding Platform is the central communication point throughout your application and admission process and accompanies you all the way to the start of your studies. We will inform you about everything important regarding your application, the admission process and the status of your application via the IMC Onboarding Platform.

    Do you need support? Use the chat integrated in the IMC Onboarding Platform to get in touch with the team of the Prospective Student Advisory Service. We will be happy to support you and answer any questions you may have.

What documents are required?

To complete your online application, you’ll need the following documents:

  • Documents
  • Curriculum vitae
    in tabular form
  • Passport
    scan of the ID page containing the data on the passport holder
  • Application photo
    a passport-sized photo (EU standard recommended)
  • Proof of general university entrance qualification
    e.g. High School Diploma / A-Levels or equivalent secondary school leaving certificate
    full scan of the document including all pages, stamps, signatures and date of issue
    documents not issued in Austria, additionally must be translated and certified
  • Statement of motivation
    questions and input form are part of the online application
    written in the language of instruction of the relevant degree programme
  • Additional documents for master degree application
  • Bachelor degree certificate 
    Austrian diploma certificate or degree certificate of an equivalent undergraduate programme
    documents not issued in Austria, additionally must be translated and certified
  • Transcript of records
    list of all completed courses with indication of ECTS and contact hours per week
    documents not issued in Austria, additionaly must be translated and certified
  • Diploma Supplement (only if applicable)
    Diploma addendum, annex to the examination certificate, explanation of the degree programme - issued by the institution of higher education
    documents not issued in Austria, additionally must be translated and certified
  • Proof of English language proficiency in Level C1 for English-language Master degree programmes (except Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology)
    Further information on the accepted certificates can be found in the admission requirements for the relevant Master degree programmes

Not yet graduated at the time of the application?

Don't worry, you can of course already apply, even if your final exam is still to come.

Application for a bachelor degree programme

This isn’t a problem: you can of course submit your application even if you haven’t taken your school leaving exams yet. Simply submit your secondary-school leaving certificate, which provides you university entrance qualification,  before you start your studies. In the meantime, upload your most recent school report when you complete your online application.

Applicants from outside Austria are also required to submit confirmation from their school of the exact form of secondary school leaving qualifications they are studying for, including the expected date of completion.

Application for a master degree programme

No problem – you can submit your undergraduate degree documents up until the start of your studies.

When applying online, please upload confirmation from your university of the degree you’re studying for (including the total number of ECTS to be achieved), a list of the remaining courses to be completed, the expected date of graduation, and your transcript of records.

Allow yourself enough time to write a good statement of motivation

The statement of motivation is submitted via the online application platform and is a central element of your application.

It requires you to address the following aspects:

  • ​​​​​reasons for choosing a degree programme
  • expectations for your future degree programme
  • personal strengths and weaknesses with respect to the core focuses of the programme
  • (for master programmes) your undergraduate studies/professional experience 
  • (for part-time programmes) how you will be able to combine family, work and leisure with your studies

Enter your statement directly in the appropriate text box (with a character limit) in the online application platform.

What happens after you’ve submitted your online application?

After you have submitted your completed application in time, we will check whether your qualifications meet the admission requirements. We will then post all further information on the admission procedure on the IMC Onboarding Platform.

Always stay up to date! To ensure that you do not miss any important information on the IMC Onboarding Platform, you will receive a short message by e-mail every time new information has been posted on your profile.

Information for our international applicants

Certified translation of documents

If you should have documents, that were not issued in Austria, you must have them translated into German or English and subsequently legalised.

  1. Please upload copies of all your translated and legalised documents using the online application platform.
  2. Please make sure that the uploaded document contains the original as well as the legalisation references and the translation (if applicable).
  3. Please note that only legible and complete scans can be considered for the verification of your application.

Important: The fulfilment of the entry requirements will be assessed on the basis of the uploaded documents. Should an additional postal submission be necessary, you will be contacted individually. In the case of an allocation of a study place, the original, admission-relevant (translated and legalised) documents must be presented in person at the start of the studies.
