Step by step towards a successful application for IMC Krems.

Apply online at IMC University of Applied Sciences

The IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems only accepts online applications.

Applications have to be submitted using the University’s online application tool. Please note that in order to determine whether you meet the admission requirements, your complete application must be submitted until the application deadline.

How to apply correctly

1st step

After successful registration in the University's online application portal you will receive your personal access link to start your online application. Your online application can be cached at any time, and can be accessed at a later date, using your personal access link.

Non-EU citizens additionally have to pay a registration fee at the time of registration. In case of an allocation of a study place the registration fee will be credited against the tuition fee.

2nd step

Please complete your online application, upload the required documents and select the date or mode for your admission procedure. After you have submitted your completed application, we will notify you of receipt of your application by e-mail. Please note that you must submit your translated and legalised documents by post.

3rd step

Only complete application files (including translated and legalised documents), received before the application deadline, will be verified individually by the academic board according to the entry requirements. We will inform you by e-mail whether you comply with the entry requirements. If you fulfill the entry requirements, you will be invited to take part in the admissions procedure.

4th step

You take part at the admission procedure of the respective programme you have applied for.

5th step

After you have completed the entire admission procedure, you will be informed about the result as soon as possible. This notification will be sent by e-mail. Please note that, for administrative reasons, we are unable to provide any information by telephone.

Important information and tips

Mandatory requirements for applicants with international certificates and degrees

All certificates issued outside Austria must be translated into German or English and properly legalised. For detailed information regarding the requirements for translation and legalisation click here

Dates, deadlines and terms

For an optimal timing of the application, we recommend to apply within the regular application period. Applications received in the extended application period will only be considered for residual study places. The IMC Krems reserves the right to decide which degree programmes are available in the extended application period. In accordance with the application deadlines several different dates for the admission procedure are appointed. For a detailed list of dates please refer to the respective degree programme pages.

Allocation of study places

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available study places, we will allocate study places on the basis of:

  • the quality of the letter of motivation
  • your performance in the admissions procedure for your selected degree programme

Assistance for international applicants

For general information for international applicants such as accommodation, visa and/or residence permit or insurance our International Welcome Center is at your service to assist and help.

We are looking forward to your application!
