Tourism Circles - Open lecture series successfully launched
The Institute Tourism and Leisure Management is pleased with the successful launch of the open lecture series “Tourism Circles”.
Heinz Palme - first guest speaker of IMC open lecture series "Tourism Circle" fascinated his audience
On November 19, Mr. Heinz Palme spoke about „Safety as success factor in events“. Palme is known as an international icon in the field of mega sports events (such as UEFA EURO 2008 or FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa). He gave first-hand insights into specific challenges of event management, work-life balance and career planning. From his point of view intrinsic motivation is the only way to success.
Prof. Douglas Turco (Drexel University, Pennsilvania) participated as a special guest in the Tourism Circle. He integrated Mr. Palme`s presentation into his ongoing course on „Sports and Event Tourism“ for IMC Bachelor and Master students.
