FH Krems graduate Ruth Pollak received the highly desired Fulbright Scholarship for her further graduate studies in the United States.

Small towns with excellent educational institutions are places Ruth Pollak seems to fall for. From 2001 until 2005 the 27 year-old Austrian studied at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems (Business Administration and E-Business-Management) and as of August 2008 she settles in Bloomington with 69.000 inhabitants. There, at Indiana University, Pollak will attend the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, short SPEA, in the following two years, which is ranked second tying with the elitist Harvard University (Harvard Kennedy School of Government).

Fulbright LogoFor Ruth Pollak it is her third extensive visit to the US. During her studies in Krems she already did an internship in New York and an exchange semester at the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Her attending Indiana became possible by means of a Fulbright scholarship from Austria. The Austrian-American Educational Commission based in Vienna awards these scholarships adhering to a very strict and extensive selection process.

The FH Krems was delighted with the nomination of Ruth Pollak for the prestigious scholarship. Not only is she a graduate from this university but was a member of the Marketing department until July 2009. In this capacity Pollak has done an excellent job in setting up the IMC Youth University "Junge Uni der FH Krems", the first youth university in Lower Austria. The keen sportswoman (jogging, yoga) has also done some publishing. In 2007 her diploma thesis „Event marketing as a tool of customer acquisition – demonstrated on the example of children and youth universities“ was printed the by publisher of academic books Dr. Müller.
