IMC FH Krems celebrated its 15 anniversary on 5 October 2009 and invited for the anniversary party at the Dominican church in Krems.

Internationality and close relations to the business and industrial world characterized this evening as well as the achievements of this University of applied Sciences in Lower Austria up to now.

About 300 national and international public characters from the business, academic and political spheres came to congratulate. On top of that an Alumni Award was assigned for its first time.

 

International Congratulations

Global networks and co-operations with leading business and industry enterprises have always been typical of the success story of IMC FH Krems. Consequently the anniversary celebration turned out to be very international. Among the guests wishing well were Dr. Aboulfas Garayev, Aserbaidschan‘s Minister for Tourism and Culture, Prof. Dr. Taras Finikov, Deputy Minister for Education in the Ukraine, H.E. Badr Mohamed Zaher al Hinai, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Makram Queisi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Jordan, O. Univ.-Prof. Chen Hangzhu, Representative of the People’s Republic of China, as well as Undersecretary Mag. Barbara Weitgruber from the Federal Ministry of Science and Research, Provincial Councillor Mag. Johann Heuras and the Mayoress of Krems Inge Rinke.

Leadership in international context

672000229_n8QAK-L Since 1994 the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems has pursued international paths and established contacts with the industry in the heart of the Wachau under its CEO Dr. h.c. Mag. Heinz Boyer. With 85 partner universities in 26 countries and cooperation with more than 1,000 enterprises all over the world FH Krems has always taken on a pioneering role among Austrian universities and academies. Not least because it introduced a mandatory semester abroad and English as a language of instruction as the first university of applied sciences in Austria. Personal coaching by a committed academic staff and a family-like atmosphere, highly appreciated by the students, are further reasons why it ranks top in international student surveys in Europe. "In Krems students are not numbers but known by their names", Boyer explained the flair at the FH Krems.

FH boosts the business location of Lower Austria

Kremser Alumni successful all over the world

Another substantial contribution to the success of the FH Krems is made by its students and graduates who were specially appreciated at the 15th anniversary celebration. For the first time FH Krems-Alumni Award for outstanding professional performances was assigned to Mag. (FH) Florian Wille, MBHA, one of the first graduates who – as Financial Controller at the Kempinksi Hotel Corvinus in Budapest, stands for the international careers of the FH Krems Alumni.
