Admission requirements
To be technically admitted to the Master's programme Tourism & Leisure Management you need to have completed a relevant BA of Business Administration or you are provided with an equivalent degree of business studies of an acknowledged postsecondary educational institution.
Minimum extent: 180 ECTS
Proof of English language proficiency
Applicants who are neither native speakers nor have completed previous studies lectured in English have to submit one of the following certifications with their application:
- IELTS Academic Training - Minimum score 6.0
- Cambridge Certificate - Level C1
- TOEFL - (IBT) - Minimum score 90
The IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems accepts only certificate, which are not older than two years.
The individual verification of the level of qualification of the respective candidate will be evaluated after receiving the complete application file by the academic board.
Foreign language or specialisation
Each applicant has to choose either one foreign language or the specialisation International Consulting.
The following languages are offered:
- French (B1)
- Spanish (B1)
- Russian (A2)
- Chinese (A2)
Prior knowledge is required. For detailed information about the language levels please refer to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
How to apply?
- Please submit the fully completed application form with all the supplementary documents before the deadline by post:
- A resume (in the language of the degree programme)
- A copy of your passport
- A passport photo
- Evidence of working experience (if applicable)
- Letter of Motivation (in the language of the chosen degree programme)
- Proof of English language proficiency
In addition, applicants have to provide a legalized (by the Austrian diplomatic representation) copy of these documents in German or English:
- Copy of your school leaving certificate which provides your university entrance qualification
- Copy of your Bachelor/Diploma Certificate or equivalence (including the Diploma Supplement, if applicable)
- Copy of your Bachelor/Diploma Transcript or equivalence
- Copy of your complete Transcript of Records (Listing of all attended courses with indication of contact hours and ECTS Credits, if applicable)
- Please note, that only complete application documents will be accepted. Furthermore, a valid e-mail address is required for correspondence.
- Should you wish to apply before you conclude your Bachelor/Diploma Studies, please enclose a confirmation from your university giving information on the academic agree and the qualifications you will gain on conclusion of your studies as well as the estimated final examination date. Additionally, please submit all transcript of records.
- After receiving your complete application documents the academic board will verify your qualification according to the admission requirements.
- With the invitation to take part at the admission procedure you receive information regarding your compliance with the entrance requirements.
- You will be informed whether you have been accepted after the whole admission procedure is completed. The written notification will be sent in mid-July at the latest. Please note, that due to administrative reasons information will not be passed on over the phone.
Legalization of documents:
International applicants have to provide translated copies of their documents in German or English. The translation needs to be done by a sworn and officially accredited translator.
In addition applicants are required to submit certified documents.
Applicants from EU Countries have to submit certified true copies of their documents. In this case the certification can be conducted by the university.
Applicants from Non-EU Countries are required to submit their translated documents legalized by the Austrian diplomatic representation.
