How to apply?
- You are asked to submit the fully completed completed application form with all the supplementary documents before the deadline by post.
- International applicants have to provide translated copies of their documents in German or English.
- In addition applicants from Non-EU Countries are required to submit their translated documents legalised by the Austrian diplomatic representation.
- Please note, that only complete application documents will be accepted. After receiving your complete application we will forward your documents to the academic board for a detailed verification of your qualification according to the admission requirements.
- With the invitation to take part at the admission procedure you receive information regarding your compliance with the entrance requirements.
- You will be informed whether you have been accepted after the whole admission procedure is completed. The written notification will be sent in mid-July at the latest. Please note, that due to administrative reasons information will not be passed on over the phone.
A valid e-mail address is required for correspondence.
Leglization of documents:
International applicants have to provide translated copies of their documents in German or English. The translation needs to be done by a sworn and officially accredited translator.
In addition applicants from Non-EU Countries are required to submit their translated documents legalized by the Austrian diplomatic representation.

Admission requirements
Bachelor's programmes
- Admission requirements - to be documented by one of the following certificates:
- Austrian school-leaving certificate or
- Another type of Austrian certificate documenting the candidate's right to attend the relevant degree programme. This includes a university entrance certificate and a certificate documenting a completed vocational education or
- A foreign certificate that is equivalent to one of these Austrian certificates due to an agreement under international law, a nostrification or a decision made by the head of the domestic degree programme on an individual basis or
- A certificate documenting the successful completion of at least three years of studies at a recognised domestic or foreign post-secondary educational institution (by a post-secondary educational institution programmes are subsumed which last at least 3 years and imply the general admission requirements pursuant to the federal statute for admission.
Master's programmes
To be admitted to a Master's programme applicants need to have completed subject-related bachelor's programme or an equivalent completion of studies at an acknowledged post-secondary educational institution at home or abroad. Further information about admission requirements of the specific Master's programmes can be found thereby.
