Student exchange

Spend a semester at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems

Our Academic Mobility Programmes Office collaborates with the Rectorate to achieve the objectives of the Bologna Process. It cooperates with more than 110 partner universities worldwide and is responsible for coordinating student mobility as part of the EU’s ERASMUS+ programme and our joint study programmes.

It also serves as a central service desk catering to the needs of incoming students as well as advising our outgoing students and monitoring their progress during their semester abroad. In addition, it works closely with Students for Students (SfS) to organise events that help foreign students integrate into the IMC Krems community. The Academic Mobility Programmes Office acts as the main point of contact and service desk for international partner universities.

ERASMUS+ Programme (EU)

The Erasmus+ Programme is the European Union’s student mobility initiative and is based on the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020 (ECHE) awarded to the participating universities. Partner universities sign bilateral agreements regarding the exchange of students and guarantee that the host institution will not charge tuition fees. Courses completed abroad are accredited using the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The IMC Krems is an ERASMUS+ network member and was awarded an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020 (ECHE). This means that we are committed to respecting the principles and policies of the European Commission and promoting the international dimension of education.

Joint study programmes

Joint study programmes with NON-EU partner universities are also conducted on the basis of bilateral agreements. In these programmes, IMC Krems students are granted a fee waiver, meaning that no additional tuition fees must be paid to the partner university. The growing number of incoming students from our partner universities provides our students with first-hand insight into education abroad, and also creates the inimitable international touch that greatly contributes to the multicultural feel of the IMC Krems.
