Partner universities
International experience and cross-cultural awareness are key competences for future managers. Therefore, international relations are a decisive element of all IMC programmes to give students the possibility to obtain as much international experience as possible.
For IMC students “going international” means:
- to work abroad during their internship (bachelor's)
- to study abroad during an exchange semester
- to participate in international research projects
Exchange Semesters
IMC students can go on an exchange semester
- under the Socrates Programme to partner universities within the European Union
- under Joint-Study Programmes to partner universities outside the European Union
Both the Socrates and the Joint-Study Programme enable students to study at one of IMC's partner universities for one semester with full recognition of their studies abroad according to the ECTS.
For all programmes, students are selected upon application according to their
- Academic performance
- Social competence
- Motivation letter
Socrates Programme
The Socrates Programme is a students’ mobility programme supported by the European Union which enables students to study at a partner university for a limited period of time (usually one semester). On the basis of a bilateral agreement, the partner universities exchange students and guarantee tuition waiver and recognition of the studies completed at the host institution according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Details about the certain period IMC students are allowed to go on a Socrates Semester can be found under the respective degree programme.
The steadily rising number of “incoming students” from our partner universities are not only ideal partners for first-hand information on the partner institutions but also bring in a precious international flair and contribute to the intercultural spirit of the IMC.
