Graduates
IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems has a very strong relation to its graduates. There is an alumni website available (only in German): http://alumi.fh-krems.ac.at for those who want to get some insight in careers and job offers.
Tourism graduates are extremely well accepted at the international and domestic labour markets. The rate of employment is very high.
Right from the start I was convinced by the wide offer and the omnipresent international orientation of the degree programme Tourism & Leisure Management. This programme does not only prepare you for a huge number of jobs in the tourism industry, but it primarily teaches you sense of responsibility, flexibility and commitment. During my career I benefited not only from the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems’s all-round education, but as well from its good reputation – and I am very grateful for that.
Mag.(FH) Helena Hartlauer, Alumni of the degree programme Tourism & Leisure Management
The reason why I decided to start my academic career with the programme Tourism & Leisure Management at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems was obvious for me: I wanted to study in a professional environment which offers international perspectives to be able to create the best foundation for both my professional and personal development. One of the most valuable things for me was the close connection between theoretical studies and practical experiences during my studying at IMC Krems: The combination of business experts, university professors and international guest lecturers conveyed me the necessary theoretical foundation as well as valuable experiences from the daily business life. In particular, I appreciated the very friendly atmosphere between my professors and colleagues at the Campus. Many of the professors knew us by our names and we also had off-campus meetings where students had lively discussions with their professors. When I am looking back at these times, I can clearly say that my expectations have been more than met: internships in Helsinki and Cologne, an exchange-semester abroad in the United States and English as language of instruction were the most important milestones.
