Locations
Two venues at the heart of the picturesque town centre of Krems offer students from all over the world excellent study facilities.
International Campus "Piaristengasse"
The IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems unveils its new look which combines lots modern elements but also retains some carefully integrated historical elements. This makes the former Piaristen monastery a unique setting for studying. The modern education centre is equipped with the most up-to-date technical infrastructure and offers students a comfortable environment with new lecture halls in the basement and an Italian cafeteria. The magnificent, baroque Piaristenhall, with its 17th century ceiling frescoes, is used as a seminar room and is also the location for lectures and receptions. The beautiful inner courtyard is a favourite place for students to congregate. During the warm summer months, some lectures even take place outdoors.
Students of the degree programmes Tourism and Leisure Management and Export-Oriented Management will always have their lectures at International Campus "Piaristengasse 1".
The closest student hostel to IMC, Piaristengasse 1, is the Europazentrum Krems. For detailed information please consult Living in Krems.
Campus Krems
Due to the increasing numbers of students, space in the Piaristengasse building was becoming quite tight. This problem has been eased by a new building set to be built on the northern edge of the premises of the Campus Krems. The IMC University of Applied Sciences and Danube-University have been developed into an international-style “Campus Krems “ that is linked to Krems‘ art district. (www.kunsthalle.at).
The site offers a student residence (Kolpingheim), a small cinema, a first-rate library, exhibition rooms, seminar rooms and laboratories.
